This vintage of Long Road Syrah is entirely from the incredible Hans Estate Vineyard, located directly below the Mission Hill Oculus block on the East Osoyoos Bench. Enjoying a very high degree of slope and directly West facing, this location has shown to produce some of our most opulent and intense Syrahs in The Okanagan. The site enjoys what makes the region so special - large diurnal temperature swings, and glacially deposited deep, warm sand. 

All de-stemmed after gentle sorting at the winery, this wine was fermented slowly at 25 degrees Celsius to fully maximize extraction of the abundantly ripe fruit. After fermentation was complete, the wine was finished in a mix of new and older American oak (50/50) for 16 months. This vintage has an incredible mixture of concentration and elegance.
