Lúuma

Lúuma

Bringing Native American heritage to life through wine, Lúuma was founded in 2016 as a joint venture between Scribe Winery's Mariani family and Revel Wine's Matthew Plympton and Tom Hunter. The name honors the Miwok village of Péta Lúuma, now known as Petaluma.

True to its roots, Lúuma's first release was a bright, honest Sonoma Coast Chardonnay from Scribe's organically farmed vineyards. In 2018, the portfolio expanded with a supple, food-friendly Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon made by Healdsburg's INIZI Wines. The latest addition, a 2019 Sauvignon Blanc from Subject to Change Wine, highlights the vibrancy of organically grown grapes with minimal intervention.

With a professional commitment to sustainable winegrowing, Lúuma offers an accessible showcase for some of California's most expressive terroirs. The everyday pricing invites discovery, while the minimal winemaking lets the land speak for itself.
