Meyer Family Vineyards

Meyer Family Vineyards

Meyer Family Vineyards, an expert in Burgundy wine, has discovered unparalleled success by staying true to certain production philosophies, strategies and techniques. In July 2017, they were awarded the distinction of being the #2 best Small Winery in Canada, and #12 winery overall at the prestigious Wine Align’s National Wine Awards of Canada (NWAC). Hand-harvested and crafted with the utmost attention to detail, Meyer takes pride in each and every bottle of wine. Produced on two main vineyards, the Old Main Road vineyard and the McLean Creek Road Vineyard in Okanagan Falls, the wines are overseen by seasoned winemaker, Chris Carson. Carson’s philosophy involves meticulous care and developing the grapes’ true expressions via a strict hands-off approach.

After spending eight years in New Zealand, Carson, a graduate of Lincoln University in Canterbury in viticulture and oenology, returned home to Canada where he worked with many prestigious wineries. He also hails from Domaine Fernandand Laurent Pillot in Burgundy, France. He has been lauded for producing excellence; his Highgate Pinot Noir won “Gold” at the Sydney International Wine Competition, “Wine Style” at the Asia Awards, and “Silver” at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in Bragato and New Zealand.
