Support the Okanagan, BC Wildfire Relief

Stand With the Okanagan

A place we love. A community that needs us.

2020 POPLAR GROVE CABERNET FRANC - Kascadia Wine Merchants

Why This Matters

For our family, the Okanagan has always been more than a destination.

Growing up in Vancouver, some of our most treasured memories were made during summer road trips to the Okanagan Valley. We'd gather with family and friends and make the journey through Kelowna, Summerland, Penticton, and Osoyoos—swimming in the lake, visiting local wineries, sharing long dinners, and creating memories that have stayed with us for decades.

Today, those same communities are facing an unimaginable challenge.

Thousands of families have been forced from their homes. Communities throughout the valley continue to face uncertainty as firefighters work tirelessly to protect lives, homes, farms, businesses, and vineyards.

The majority of Kascadia Wine Merchants' Canadian portfolio comes from British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.

These aren't simply wineries we represent.

They're people we've come to know, communities we've visited, and places that have helped shape our story.

The Okanagan Today

Communities currently impacted include:

• Kelowna

• West Kelowna

• Peachland

• Summerland

• Penticton

• Okanagan Falls

• Osoyoos

While many wineries remain temporarily closed or under evacuation orders, it's the people behind these communities—the families, volunteers, hospitality workers, teachers, orchardists, firefighters, healthcare workers, and local businesses—that remain at the heart of this story.

About the Okanagan

The Okanagan Valley is internationally recognized for producing some of Canada's most celebrated wines.

Its unique climate, warm summers, glacial lakes, and dedicated growers have made it one of North America's premier wine regions.

At Kascadia Wine Merchants, we're honoured to share these wines—and their stories—with customers throughout the United States.
