Awarded 2024 Winery Of The Year at the Canadian National Wine Awards.

2021 SpearHead Chardonnay Clone 95 - 92 Points, John Schreiner on Wine

The fruit for this came from the Duncan Vineyard on the Naramata Bench. The wine was fermented in French oak barrels and puncheons and was aged 10 months in barrel (25% new). Only partial malolactic fermentation was allowed, preserving good fruit flavours. The wine begins with aromas of ripe pear, apple, citrus and vanilla. The palate is luscious, with tropical fruit flavours (nectarine and peach). The finish is quite long. This is a delicious wine.

2021 Golden Retreat Pinot Noir - Gold at 2023 National Wine Awards of Canada

Prominent dark fruit aromas of juicy plum and dark cherry intertwined with notes of nutmeg, clove, and earl grey spices. Bright and supple on entry, with firm tannins that provide backbone and longevity to this wine. The palate opens to complex flavours of cherry, red currant, charred wood, earth, and hints of dried herb. Pair with lasagna, baby back ribs, salami, smoked gruyere.

About Kascadia

North American wines, including those from Canada, the United States, and Mexico, have risen to the top of the list when it comes to the world's "new world" wines. These regions have rapidly established themselves as producers of exceptional quality and diverse varietals, challenging the long-held dominance of classic Old World wine regions like France, Italy, and Spain.
