Join us for an unparalleled culinary and wine tasting experience, led by two celebrated Canadian winemakers — Mark Beringer, and Grant Stanley, at the Tasting House Wine Bistro & Champagne Bar — the trendiest dining spot in Los Gatos, California! 

Featuring Phantom Creek Estate Winery and Spearhead Winery. 

Complementing this will be a 4-course dinner, crafted by the renowned Executive Chef, Julian Silvera, whose passion for hyper-local, sustainably sourced ingredients will leave a lasting impression. Julian began his culinary career in New York City before lending his talents to Florida's, Knife & Spoon where he played a pivotal role in the restaurant's attainment of a Michelin Star.

Special Guest: Mark Beringer, Wine Director 

Mark Beringer, great-great grandson of Beringer Vineyards, was immersed in wine from the moment he was born in the heart of Napa Valley. As the descendent to one of the most iconic family names in Napa, Valley Wine history, he was eager to immerse himself in winemaking, after receiving an Enology degree from California State University in Fresno.

Mark spent a year in the cellars at Benziger in Sonoma and then joined Duckhorn in 1992. Mark worked his way up to Vice President of winemaking at Duckhorn. In 2009, Mark joint Artesa as Vice President and Winemaker. In 2015, Mark returned to his name sake Beringer Vineyards, joining as Chief Winemaker, and following in the footsteps of acclaimed Winemaker Emeritus, Laurie, Hook. Now, he is bringing years of winemaking, expertise and experience to Phantom Creek Estates, in the Okanagan Valley. 

 

Spearhead Winery, Kelowna, BC

Special Guest: Grant Stanley , Winemaker 

Grant is a dual citizen of Canada and New Zealand; the latter is where he began his career working in the vineyards of Marlborough. Equipped with winery internships and diplomas in viticulture and winemaking from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology he moved to the North Island where he was inspired to indulge in the world of Pinot Noir in Martinborough. 

In 2003, after 15 vintages with prestigious wineries in New Zealand and Oregon’s Willamette valley he was attracted to the incredible potential for growing and making high quality Pinot Noir in the Okanagan Valley. Since moving to the Okanagan Valley Grant has become well known for his winemaking style and his dedication to the improvement of growing and making Pinot Noir.
