The 2017 Petit Verdot is a medium to full-bodied red wine that is dark ruby in colour. Inviting notes of rose, blueberry and chocolate dominate the nose. The palate compliments the nose with flavours of dark chocolate, raisins and cigar box. This wine is an elegant and big tannin driven wine, with well balanced acidity. While fairly approachable now, this wine will reward those who can set the bottles aside for at least eight to ten years of aging. 

Petit Verdot is a red grape variety that is principally used in Bordeaux blends, often contributing colour, structure and its typical florals notes of violet. It is a late ripening grape variety and has fallen out of favour in Bordeaux as a result. We have had great success with Petit Verdot grown on the Osoyoos East Bench and believe that the abundant sun and heat of our vineyards create the perfect growing environment for this grape variety.
