REGION: Central Okanagan Valley, Lakeside Alluvial Fans
Selectively hand harvested and whole bunch pressed with elongated skin contact in press. Cold settled and fermented icy cold for an extended period to bring out minerality and preserve acidic freshness. Bright, clear, sandstone appearance with an orange blossom, wet warm slate, pineapple aroma. Palate of lime leaf, pear, and white Rainier cherries greeted upon entry. Green apple and pronounced granite mineral elements finish off with racy acidity and tension which is the must have Riesling of 2016.
This wine is the all-time first choice to pair with sharp hard cheeses. A go-to food favourite versatile enough to serve with fresh fruits, salads, oysters (raw and or smoked), and most crustaceans. Also, perfect chilled on its own.

Lead Winemaker Matthew Fortuna and Consulting Winemaker Grant Stanley have been producing award winning wines together at 50th Parallel since 2013. Prior to this tenure, they worked together for seven years producing world class wines at another great Pinot house in the Okanagan valley.
Their talents have now been focussed on producing premium fruit from the 50th Parallel Estate vineyards, and dialed in to using their new state-of-the-art gravity flow winery to produce some of the world’s finest Pinot Noir.
