Layered savoury notes combined with fragrant spice, white pepper and cassis on the nose. Rounded and rich on the palate, with juicy acidity and chalky tannins. More cassis, vanilla and a silkiness that continues with a long finish.

The aroma is ripe and inviting, with notes of plum, black cherry and pepper. Svelte and polished in texture, the wine has flavours of red fruit with hints of dark chocolate and black coffee. The pepper on the savoury finish punctuates a delicious wine. John Schreiner
A tremendously aromatic nose of fresh cracked black pepper, violets and wild herbs. Earthy with a sensual muskiness and a tight, taught palate. Lean in a muscular sense with great focus. Youthful with firm but not unripe tannins and concentrated but not heavy fruit. Its evolution should be intriguing. The floral finish is persistent and pleasurable. Best 2017-2020. Sara d’Amato
The 2013 is a wine of more finely detailed nuances, certainly still tightly wound in the reductive house style, but already wonderfully perfumed in the typical cool climate register of cracked white and black pepper, lavender and mediterranean scrub. Tannins are finely woven and neatly stitched, acids are lively and crisp and the length lingers nicely...Fine stuff. John Szabo
